The day tour to the city includes visits to the major attractions there such as the Catacombs, the Fort of Qaitbay, the modern library of the city, and the Pompey pillar, Upon meeting your tour guide in Alexandria port, discover the impressive mixture between Egyptian art, architecture and burial traditions with the Roman ones through your visit to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. A 1900 years old Roman subterranean tomb where cremated and mummified bodies were preserved. Following this, you will visit the site of the Pompey pillar. This place contains the ruins of the temple of Serapes and the tallest granite pillar in the city Enjoy the best view over the city and the sea from the Fort of Qaitbay, a 15th fort built on top of the original location of the Lighthouse that was gone. The fort was meant to protect the Eastern harbor of the city. Moving to the modern library, you will spend some time touring that huge and modern library that was built as a revival of the ancient one. During the day tour, you will have free time to consider the seafood and cafe culture that the city is famous for a long time ago. At all the sites, you visit, your tour guide will provide you with all the information and history of each place. At the end of the day tour, you will drive to Cairo approximately a 3 hours drive to spend a night there.

In the morning, you will visit the symbol of Eternity and the only wonder that still survives among the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramid of Cheops. It is certainly one of the most recognized and one of the most important monuments of ancient Egypt. A masterpiece of fabricated structure and architecture, you will be overwhelmed by the huge size of its blocks, the height, and the age that exceeded 4600 years. While you stare at this great monument, your guide will explain fully the history of the area including the other pyramids, of Chephren and Mycerinus, answer all your questions and give you free time for photography. You will have the chance to take pictures of the area including all the pyramids from the panorama area.).Next to the Sphinx area, you will visit the valley temple where you will learn about mummification in ancient Egypt. On the way to your next stop, lunch will be served in a local Egyptian restaurant. After tasting some delicious Egyptian food, another heavy meal is waiting for you to swallow. You will visit one of the biggest museums in the world, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, which houses the biggest collections of Egypt monuments. Allow at least two hours for the Museum tour, but do not expect to see everything in one visit—it would take days to explore the entire museum and it’s easy to get lost. With so much to see, visiting with a tour guide is a convenient choice, and our private guided tour will ensure you maximize your time and see the highlights. At the end of this fantastic tour, which includes the two major attractions in Cairo, your guide and driver, will drop you off at PORT SAID
